Pub Crawl from the Past

On a nostalgic Saturday, my two friends and I embarked on a journey down memory lane, beginning with a visit to the Cavalier Hotel in College Hill. This historic gem, standing proudly since 1860, welcomed us with open arms and its charming dog-friendly ambience. The hotel’s grandeur and timeless elegance were indeed a sight to behold.

Our next stop was the Birdcage, a place with unique charm and character. As we continued our adventure, we went to the Empire Hotel. Each location held a piece of the past, weaving together a tapestry of memories and experiences.

In between our hotel visits, we explored Victoria Park Market, hoping to relive the bustling energy it once had. Unfortunately, we were met with an unexpected quietness, starkly contrasting to the lively market we remembered. Despite this, our spirits were lifted when we stumbled upon a quaint guitar shop. Inside, two older gentlemen strumming their guitars treated us to an impromptu performance. One of them had even worked for the legendary band Queen, adding a touch of magic to our day. My friend John was utterly captivated by the place, unable to tear himself away.

Reflecting on our day, I must say that the Cavalier Hotel left a lasting impression. Its magnificent presence and the sense of history it exudes made our journey down memory lane all the more memorable.
