Selene Olympia Explorer Catamaran
A new yacht is joining the four existing Selene lines, Voyager, Classic Explorer, Ocean Explorer and Clipper… Olympia has been developed for several months by Selene design teams in response to the inquiries for a 50’ catamaran yacht that has a minimal environmental impact, exceptional stability at anchor and underway and low operating costs without loss in comfort or blue water cruising capabilities.
From the keel up, the Selene Olympia Explorer has been designed by the vastly experienced Selene Yachts production team. Olympia resin infusion technology means that the vessel will be constructed to be both lightweights, yet extremely strong. Our fibreglass technology ensures each hull will be produced to exacting standards resulting in a finished motor yacht that performs as intended. The state-of-the-art Selene Olympia Explorer offers superb cruising comfort and efficiency with an outstanding range confirming one more time that Selene Yachts is a builder of blue water cruising yacht of new thinking.
Timeless interior design, bespoke Selene attention to details and high-quality materials are features that make Olympia exceptionally well perceived among the members of the nautical community who have had a sneak peek of the preliminary drawings and specifications. Every centimeter of the interior has been carefully thought out to maximize the usability and comfort for the owner and the guests. Each of the three cabins is light, airy and naturally ventilated with lots of storage. A lot of thought has been put into storage. The overall design, based on many insider comments and request from previous customers is elegant and functional, with clever features that will delight the crew. Even a simple door handle or a bathroom faucet has been meticulously chosen to the highest standards, keeping in mind that beauty also reflects in the smallest details.
Olympia Explorer, like all Selene yachts, has a logical interior layout designed for long periods on board either at sea or in the harbour. Access for servicing technical equipment is also easy and the Olympia has a generous tank capacity necessary for serious cruising. No need to mention that redundancy, especially propulsion, is structural on a catamaran.
Simplicity is also key, with two hulls Olympia doesn’t need hydraulic or a gyro stabilization. Due to the distance between the two propellers, Olympia needs no bow and stern thrusters.
